About Maritza

I started this practice because I realize the need to focus where decisions and regulation are made, since they still promote inequalities even without intent.  I serve as an educational research bridge between state and district levels- between policy makers and practitioners. By creating collaborations to support and communicate across all levels of educational policy, policy can be informed by practice to create equity, inclusion, social justice and raise the quality of education.

Originally from Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua, Mexico I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Autónoma de Cd. Juarez  in 2008. I first worked in business administration for large heath and education community institutions. I learned how to lead successful projects across departments and the front line operations and practice of educational institutions. From there I transitioned to practical application at the university level, becoming a professor in the department of education for Universidad Autónoma de Cd. Juarez

Now my goal is to work as a strategic partner helping educational organizations, institutions and practitioners stay at the top of their game with impactful and current research projects that connect practice to policy.
